Uniphos Envirotronic Inc. is pleased to announce the release of two new gas detector tubes: the KwikDraw Cyclohexane-40 detector tube and the Uniphos H2S+SO2 detector tube.
Cyclohexane is a key element in the manufacturing of caprolactum and adipic acid, which are intermediates for manufacturing nylon. It can also be used as a solvent or as a precursor in chemical synthesis and reaction diluents in chemical industries. Cyclohexane causes skin irritation and can be fatal if it enters airways.
The KwikDraw Cyclohexane detector tube can determine concentrations relative to the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OHSA) and the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH) TWA and ceiling levels in industries where cyclohexane is used. These industries may include automotive, textiles, construction, paints and coating, and thermoplastics.
The Uniphos H2S+SO2 detector tube is used in industries such as petroleum, refineries, fertilizer and chemicals where the possibility of H2S and SO2 might be encountered together.
